It all began in 1989 with the success of the band Kaoma. The ardent lambada became rapidly contagious to the people of Barcelona. It started first among Brazilians living here when they opened a nightclub of Brazilian atmosphere, called "Made in Brazil". It represented an innovation in our city, because it was a place totally different from what we were accustomed to seeing so far, decoration recreating their country, the waiters and DJs were also Brazilians, they served exotic drinks, especially the famous "caipirinha", without forgetting other tropical juices tropical etc.
