Rita, the most famous carioca girl in Barcelona began learning afro dances at the early 5 in her native Brasil. She don't stop learning all styles of brazilian dances until the age of 15th. where she glowed like a star at the most famous boites and places in Río de Janeiro, like Obaoba, Plataforma, Escala or Teatro Hotel Nacional combining it with different participations in TV Rede Globo brasileña and films like"Lambada sensual, la danza prohibida". Then she decided to carry on with her life for all Europe and she established in Barcelona where she stand out as a member Força Barça group, a regular programme in TV3, Catalonia television. The course of her artistic life is complete by having taken of a musical trio called Batida de Coco. Actually gives classes in Samba Brasil and in Ampuriabrava. She's in high regard, not only in our city, as one of the best samba dancer and teacher. She's a vitality explosion .

Bachelor in Physical Education, lambada dancer from 17 years ago, he gave lessons in the Gil Rangel Academy (94 and 2005), Studio Jimmy (95), Cia. Aérea de Dança (96), Rio Sport Center (96), Gamma Filho University (96)... performances with the Group " Só pra Contrariar " as dancer and choreographer, artist of Sony Music (99,2000,2001), guest teacher of the World-wide Congress of Zouk in Porto Seguro for giving lessons of lambada 3 and lambada (2005)(2007), owner of the dance academy for couples "Casa de Salão" in Rio de Janeiro. He’s also dancer of samba gafieira from 16 years ago and he teaches not only that but forró, bolero, rock, etc.

Vanderlei Moreira is the founder of the dance group 'Axé Brasil'. He was born in Ceará, Northern Brazil, but he grew up in São Paulo. Being born in Brazil, his youth was influenced by the well-known Brazilian samba rhythms and Forró, a more folkloristic type of music. Having talent as a teacher, Vanderlei started teaching Salsa, Samba solo, Samba de Pagode, Zouk and of course Axé. Nowadays he teaches Brazilian dance classes at 'BraSaZouk' and 'Centro de dança Dos Bailadores'. As the manager of Axé Brasil, he keeps up with the trends in Axé by travelling to Brazil every year. There he trains with the best local dancers and choreographers.This man has devoted his dance career to make Axé music and dance big in Europe! And it seems like he is doing a great job!

She was born in Brasilia and always liked to dance. Eight years ago she started specialize in Brazilian dances, traveling all over the country, doing classes with the bests teachers. She also participated in several congresses, between them: Congresso mundial de salsa SP, Congresso Mundial de salsa Brasilia, Congresso Mundial de salsa – Buenos Aires, Argentina, Congresso internacional de samba de gafieira – Rio de janeiro Br Dancas- Rio de Janeiro, Congresso internacional de zouk Cizoub- Brasilia, Congresso de zouk lambada – Porto Seguro, Salsa Beach Festival – Amsterdam, Salsa festival de Zurich, Pontin's Congress. She worked with several teachers, teaching and dancing in the biggest dance company of Brasilia. Maisa has a feminine and gracious style, and she has been dedicated in teaching charm and elegance to her students. She had been travelling a lot to teach and do several shows, Zouk Revolution and Samba de Gafieira are her biggest passions

Solange Dias is one of the world's most highly recognised dancers and choreographers of Lambada. Qualified with the UK Alliance, she has been teaching and performing internationally for 15 years and has appeared numerous times on television. A leading figure in the Lambada world, she is known for her original, sensual style and the passionate energy she brings to the dance. Solange is from Porto Seguro, Brazil, where Lambada originates. She has performed and taught worldwide but, after a spell in Italy, she moved to London and has been based there for the last 10 years. She was first taught by her brother Berg who is now her dance partner and together they are considered to be one of the top Lambada partnerships in the world. She has won both the World Lambada and Salsa Championships (Lambada 1995 and Salsa in 2001) and is also an experienced teacher and performer of Samba.

Conoce la lambadazouk en el año 1999, gracias a Laura. Pero realmente, cuando se enamora de la lambadazouk, es en el congreso de Berg, en el mágico Porto Seguro, en el año 2004/5. A partir de ahí, participa en el 2do concurso internacional de lambadazouk en Amsterdam 2006 con Elena, quedando en 4º lugar. Nace entonces una pasión enfermiza por este baile y su música. Desde este momento y con la ayuda de Laura, empieza un intenso estudio de la técnica, ritmo y musicalidad…. Con varias demostraciones y shows por diferentes discotecas, bares musicales, centros comerciales y gimnasios… encuentra su vocación… la difusión y enseñanza de la lambadazouk y empieza a dar clases en el año 2006 en Porto do Brasil en Masnou, seguido de Barempstrum, Baja Beach Club, y actualmente en Zich (Vila Olímpica) y Bar musical +QCopas Año tras año, va adquiriendo experiencia como coreógrafo, tanto en pareja como en grupo, realizando la coreografía lambadazouk DansaBrasil 07, y la de este próximo año 2008, conjuntamente con Gabi, excepcional bailarín y amigo… También experimenta como DJ, (dj xavizouk) en diferentes fiestas de DansaBrasil y actualmente pincha en diferentes locales. Dancing with a style as only he can, Pasty brings a new flavor into the Caribbean dances.
Starting on the Caribbean island of Curacao, Pasty’s dancing career involves a wide array of different dances, from the local Tambu to the Brazialian Zouk on which he now focuses his main attention. In his 13 years of professional dance experience Pasty has worked with the most respected zouk and salsa artists and developed a unique dancing and teaching style.
Currently Pasty teaches and performs under his own name Pasty Dance and for Zouklovers in the Netherlands, where Pasty is a famous face in the Zouk scene. He performed at the 2nd Brasazouk congress in Amsterdam and won 2nd place at the Brasazouk lambada/zouk competition in 2005. Furthermore he has performed and taught at numerous national congresses and parties.
As an artist Pasty values emotion, technique, innovation, body movement and musicality, both in his shows and his classes. His classes are full of energy, so his students have to be prepared to work it! In his shows he always aims to add something new to the dance and create a mixture between the traditional Caribbean dance and his own interpretation of what the dance could be. Pasty is very well known for his innovative style and supple movements. He keeps surprising his students and audiences.

Josta Ruby O'niel

Started dancing Zouk eight years ago. In 2001 won the Corona Lime contest and in 2004 the BrasaZouk contest in Amsterdam. In 2004 graduated from the Jazz department in the Theater School, Amsterdam. Since then she has worked as a professional dancer for various companies, projects and styles from musicals to contemporary dance. In the Zouk world she is currently working with Vicky Derks and Pasty by conducting workshops and performances. Seeking to enrich hers classical form by combining within it various other dances styles, ways of presentation and themes.

Patricia Morena

Patty was born in Santos-Sao Paulo and arrived to Porto Seguro in 1990, where she became enthusiastic with the city and the natives too, not only dancing lambada but axé. She went regularly to the discos just to impregnate with the energy of Porto Seguro and it’s lambada.
She worked in 1992 in Barra Point, Tôa-tôa, Alcatraz, Axé Moi and other local places of the area. From 1995 she dedicated herself improving her dancing with the native’s help. But it wasn’t until 1992, when she met Didi, that she really began to dance lambada.
From the year 2000 was the Didí’s partner and together travelled around Brazil and Argentina giving workshops and doing performances until 2006 when they arrived to Europe, specially in Lisboa where the live.

Vicky Derks

Vicky was born in 1974 and started dancing at 6 years old. She graduated from her dance study in ballet and contempory dance in 1996.For many years she has been dancing in several modern dancecompanys travelling around the world. Besides ballet and modern dance she studied capoeira, yoga, pilates, acrobatics and brazilian dance.
The last years she is specialised in dancing and teaching zouk and was working together with Adilio Porto, Josta O'neil and others.
Vicky also works as a physical therapist treating professional dancers

Vicky David

David was born in Barcelona twenty years ago. His dance began at fifteen, when he starts to dance lambada in Barcelona. After that he learn more and more, and in 2005 he participated with Laura in the zouk/lambada international contest in Holland and they won. Then the real lambada life starts, and after that, they participate in congresses as a teacher like the DansaBrasil congress in Barcelona, the Uppsala salsa congress in Sweden, and more (London, Amsterdam, Pontin’s ...).
He is in the DansaBrasil organization for the lambada congress in Barcelona, a new mundial reference for the lambada dancers.
David already dances salsa since seventeen, and he won the second prize of an amateur competition in Barcelona. Now he is dancing in the world known salsa company called “Salsa del Barrio”, and teaching classes of salsa and lambada in Barcelona.

 
Gilson Damasco
Gilson Damasco

Gilson Damasco, teacher and first instructor of lambada in Argentina in 1991. He was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and he met the lambada 17 years ago. He participated in many Lambada competitions in Brazil. He has also been very much inspired by Kaoma´s and Beto Barbosa´s Dancers, who spread out the success of the Lambada at that time. Delighted by the magic of Porto Seguro sharing the energy of the Bahian Culture and having contacted with the best Lambada teachers, he made possible in 1992 a place called “Porto Seguro Pub” which became a meeting place for all Argentinian people. Then in 1995 the energy continued in “Kaoma Bar” and in 1996 he moved to “Maluco Beleza”, the most well-known Brazilian club in Argentina. In 1998, he brought teachers as Josy, Braz, Patricia, Didi, Patricia Moreno, Sonara, Donn, Bebe, Mauricio and Jamaica to joined the group in Buenos Aires. They have played a very important role due to their knowledge and positive energy, which is very characteristic of the Bahian culture, specially lambada.
In 2004 he traveled to Europe for the first time to participate in the international Lambazouk congresses and venues (Spain, Holland, England, Switzerland ...) and Israel.
Well-known by his clear explanation about the technique and the best way to lead a partner. Lambadazouk will make you feel good!

Romina Hidalgo was born in Buenos Aires and began dancing at the age of 8 with Gilson Damasco and Fabiola Prestes, participating in numerous shows at various events and hotels, including the Savoy. When she was 15, she began to assist in classes, later became an instructor working with Damasco. She has danced at various hotels, including the Sheraton, Alvear and Hilton, as well as on tv, dancing axe and teaching samba and zouk to children. Over time she came to be known as Rominita because of the young age at which she began to dance. She has danced with Jose Santos de Braz and her dancing has been inspired by Patricia da Cruz, Josy, Braz and Didi, who taught her new movements and teach them to listen the music. She worked in Los Arkos, a dance club in Buenos Aires, with Gilson, teaching zouk classes and dancing in shows. She also participated as an instructor and dancer at the 2005 Zouk Congress in Porto Seguro.

Adilio Porto

The starting point of Adilio Porto's worldwide career came in 1988, when he met Jaime Aroxa. Now, after 16 years of working with dance, Adilio has become a well known dancer, teacher and choreographer.
Afterwards, Adilio started to spread the rhythm of Zouk Love not only all over Brazil but in the rest of the word too. He has participated in a lot of different international events, such as congresses, movies, television, theater and shows.
Adilio currently works in Europe. It is his goal to use his experiences from Brazil to make the knowledge of Brazilian dances grow in Europe.
At the moment he is working in Holland, with Claudia of BrasaZouk, Salsa Dance Explosion, Salseros and recently opened his own dance academy: 'Mirror Zouk Centre' in Amsterdam.
Adilio is known as one of the most important Zouk teachers.

Berg

Berg Dias is a Brazilian dancer and instructor of Lambada. He holds a professional teaching qualification from the UK Alliance and has been performing and teaching to a high standard for 18 years along with his two sisters, Solange and Magda Dias.
Many of their students have reached a professional level and won dance competitions. He has been giving classes at Danceworks in London for 14 years and had promoted Lambada around the world by giving lessons and doing shows in many different countries. He has performed on MTV and most recently on the BBC with Simply Red for Strictly Come Dancing. Berg's dance group, Viva Brazil, has performed all over the UK.

Rachel started her Latin dance journey in 1997, after seeing a colourful documentary film on Samba and Capoeira.
He learned training in Australia with 1 of Brisbane's largest Latin dance institutions, Rio Rhythmics. It was only 6 months after her first Latin dance lesson, that Rachel was invited to instruct. She quickly became involved in curriculum development, with an insatiable interest in helping dancers develop to the highest level of skill ... the dance teacher was born!
In 2000 Rachel moved to Amsterdam, where unassumingly she stumbled across some of the world's best Brazilian dancers. Under the direction of Claudia de Vries (BraSaZouk) and Claudio Gomes (CG ZoukLovers), Rachel trained to perform and instruct dance styles such as Zouk, Samba, Gafieira, Pagode, Axé and Salsa.
Returning to Australia in 2002, Rachel started teaching independently. Rachel continues to study internationally under world-class instructors including Rodrigo Delano (Brazil), Adilio Porto (Brazil), Braz dos Santos (Brazil) and Claudia de Vries (NL), allowing Rachel to keep her finger on the pulse of the latest movements and dance ideas from around the world.
Rachel is most loved by her co-workers and students for being full of energy, incredibly organized and somewhat cheeky!

She learned at the “Instituto del teatro” (theatre institute), one of the most important schools in Catalonia where she took classes from such a very famous dancers like Antonio Canales, Joaquin Cortes…
She started more than one year ago dancing zouk with flamenco essence.

 
Didi
Didi

In 1984 he began his professional career as a founder of Lambaxé Group, with his brother Braz and their partners Gabriela and Belinha.
They decided join the Lambada into their traditional afro-brazilian show with its different choreographies (lambada three, swing lambada, etc.) there is no doubt they were the first to spread the lambada in professional shows for tourists and afterwards for all the country. Was in 1984 (until 1988) that Lambada fever reaches its top. In São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte or in Brasilia everybody danced lambada everywhere and it was a part of the Brazilian culture forever.
From 1989 to 1994 Didí participated as solo dancer and assistant of choreography for the French international group KAOMA (CBS-SONY Music), reaching in 1992 world success in 72 countries with their famous songs Chorando Se Foi , Jambe Finete , Melodie d'Amour o Tago Mago that quickly were part of the list of songs of all latin and Brazilian groups over the world.
We must keep attention to the essential work of Porto Seguro dancers done with their particular choreographies showed in video clips, advertising spots, concerts and tv shows, because they were the columns that keeps the lambada alive until now in several dance places in Brazil, Argentina or also in European cities like Barcelona, London or Amsterdam.
Nowadays, Didí lives in Lisboa and he gives classes and perform in shows everywhere in the country

Claudia was born in Surinam, South America. She is a teacher in Brazilian and Latin dances, and in November 2005 she became a Licentiate at the United Kingdom Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing.
Claudia is the organiser of the Brazilian Dance Congresses and the Zouk/Lambada Dance Competitions in Amsterdam, Holland (2004, 2005, 2006 & 2007).
She also has her own Brazilian dance school BraSaZouk and her company (together with her fiancée Tico) Brasa Dance Studios & Events, where she organised the 2nd / 3rd Brazilian Dance Congresses & the 3rd / 4th Zouk/Lambada Dance Competitions in 2006 / 2007.
Claudia performed in numerous national and international events (World Salsa Congress in Puerto Rico, World Salsa Congress in Valencia, Dança de Encontro in Rio de Janeiro, UK 's first Salsa & Lambada Congress (2003), World Salsa Congress in New York, World Salsa Congress in Montreal, Salsuri Congress in Surinam, etc.), in Television programs (‘Soundmixshow’, ATV, ‘Onderweg naar morgen’, Sonntagskonzert, etc.) and with famous singers (Gil Semedo, Irmãos Verdades, Revelacão, Gerard Joling).
It is a real pleasure and honour for Claudia to teach and to perform.
Claudia is recognized for her skilful teaching, her enthusiasm and drive during performances and her organizing talent.

Claudio Gomes is the founder of ZoukLovers and the Brazilian dances in Holland.
Furthermore he is well-known as a popular Brazilian dance performer and choreographer specialized in Latin-Brazilian dances. Claudio Gomes is the "FIRST" dance teacher in the Netherlands who initiated in 1991 to teach the Lambada and Samba, later Samba Gafieira, Bolero, Salsa, Axé and Zouk. A lot of big cities have dance schools where you can educate yourself in Brazilian dances: Amsterdam, Den Haag (The Hague), Rotterdam, Utrecht and more cities in Holland, and most of this dance schools are owned by former students of Claudio.
For more than 10 years Claudio gave classes at his 2 dance schools (The Netherlands) in Amsterdam, The Hague. However, he followed his heart to Brazil. Right now Claudio is developing his career on a stable international level. He travels a lot, organizes international workshops and works very enthusiast on his new career in Brazil while also still continuing teaching classes and choreography in The Netherlands as well.
When Claudio travels he gets lots of inspiration that helps him to stay critical and to keep his goals on level. He works for what he believes in. He wants top performance, to improve all the time and truly believes that you learn all lifelong. He likes to anticipate in new projects, and to work international with new people constantly. Claudio Gomes, a true maestro de baile!

Laura met Lambada 11 years ago, by the pleasing insistence of NuriAxé, (her sister). Then, she discovered the Brazilian Dances, studying especially Lambada and it evolution towards Zouk in Bcn. She is member of “LambAxé Animación” and one of DansaBrasil member team. Also, she is organizer and teacher of Salsa, Lambada/Zouk and samba in the ¨Zich Group” parties, in the “Port Olimpic” (Barcelona). Together with David Cascón they win the championship in the II International Congress 05 in Amsterdam participating after this in several congresses as London, Sweden, Ibiza, Cádiz and more.

 
Nuria Axé
Nuria Axé

Nuria is Spanish by birth, but has a Brazilian heart. She met Brazilian rhythms in 1997 and immediately began taking classes of lambada until 1999.
Since then she has not stopped dancing, not only zouk and lambada, Samba and especially focus in axè which is an enthusiastic specialist.
She has performed in lots of animation events,discos, nightclubs, campsites, hotels, etc.. with the Barnaxé group, which also included capoeira and batucada.
Now she is currently a member of the group of animation Lambaxé Bcn.
There is also a cheerleader "Porto do Brazil", Masnou (Barcelona) for 4 years, where she teaches lambada Level 1 and 2,classes already provided in "Esportiu Claror" and "Celebrity" Trendy clubs in the Olympic Port of our city.
She has recently won the 3rd. award in the 2nd contest lambada / zouk in Amsterdam. Talking about Nuriaxé is feeling Brazil.

Laia was born in Barcelona (Spain) in 1985, and has done all kinds of dancing during her life, but in 2000 she fell in love with the word of Brasilian dancing and she started to do Samba, Capoeira, Lambada and Axé shows in Brasilian bars and discos and privet parties.
She was the first teacher with most success of Lambada/Zouk in Barcelona (five years ago) together with Hernán (a teacher from Argentina) , and further on she also gave Samba and Axé classes.
Now a days, Laia still does shows and classes of Lambada/Zouk (with Papagaio) and Samba, she also gives Fitness classes, goes to University and is the treasurer of "Dansa Brasil Bcn Asosiation"

Gabriel Papagaio is Teacher and DJ of Lambada/Zouk recognized in the Brazilian world of Barcelona.
He was the first DJ to put ZOUK music in Barcelona; and he devised to do the first Lambada/Zouk classes in Barcelona with Hernan and Laia.
He works every Sunday at the Vila Olímpica of Barcelona, as well as in other discotheques, private parties and workshops. He is degreed in Physical Education, Method Pilates and Physiotherapy. Great experience with good references realizing shows and animation of Samba, Batucada, Capoeira, Axé, Lambada, Latin dances, etc ... in several types of events and parties in Spain, specially in Catalonia.
He is Contra-Mestre in Capoeira and he did several tours representing important brands, such as ADIDAS in Milan, NIKE in Barcelona, Malaga and Madrid, programs of television, etc...). Recently he's been the winner of the 1 º Prize in the ' Contest of Brazilian DJ's 2006 ' organized by the "Baja Beach" discotheque.
He gives Lambada classes following a good methodology with his couple Laia.

He is a professor of professional Lambada, choreographer and fashion designer. He lives in the UK for 15 years.
Is one of the teachers who made the Lambada in London at the Madrid Bar, along with his then partner, the spectacular Karina Padilha.
Lula has traveled throughout the world teaching and performing in many countries.
He has also acted in several British television channels, including Channel 4, Channel 5, BBC 1 and BBC 2.
Lula is an elegant and stylish Lambada dancer.

Philip Miha

Philip Miha has taught Zouk for several years in many dance schools in and around São Paulo. Nowadays, with more than 200 students learning Zouk, appearing in video clips, performing in numerous popular Brazilian television programs and teaching various Brazilian actors, Philip Miha is the promoter and organiser of the Zouk nights in two major clubs in São Paulo. He also has a dance company that performs at clubs and major events.
Philip is a very energetic and driven dance teacher who 'spices up' his classes with some humour.

Erik Marçal Garcia was born in Goiânia (Brasil). At the age of 10 he realized he loved the rhythm and dances of his country and he begins to dance axè. The ilusion grows up and it drive him to participate in different contests of axè.
That was luckily for him because it permitted to achieve experience in stage.
Afterwards, he becomes a member of Rekebra Dance, group of dance, which permitted him to play lot of shows and performances in different places. His wide knowledge of rhythm and choreographies allowed him to teach in gyms of his home town.
At about one year ago he arrived to Barcelona where he feels very happy, and actually he’s giving axè classes as a co-teacher with Nuriaxè in Celebrity (Puerto Olímpico).

She was a professional dancer and teacher in "Reggae Night" and "Axé Moi", two famous local from Porto Seguro, Brazil.
Along with Braz gave Lambada lessons in Buenos Aires during 2 years.
Three recent years has taught and performed in London and has also worked in other countries including: France, Argentina, Pakistan, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and Spain.
Patricia is recognized as an elegant dancer, as well as a good teacher. Her appearance when displayed on the dance floor is like an "angel dancing."

Although he was born in Argentina, he’s lived in Spain for several years.
He learned with Claudia, a well-known dancer of Lambada-Zouk in Buenos Aires, 9 years ago. He very often went to “Maluco Beleza”, then the main head office of the Lambada-Zouk in Buenos Aires, where he met Braz and Didí and shared stage with them.
With Claudia and Florencia acted in lots of shows all around Argentina until they tried their luck in Spain, to be specific in Barcelona, where, in 2001, they showed for the first time in the city the rhythm and the dance with music of Zouk, completely unknown by the time, as it was only Lambada what was danced.
He has taught and acted in important Rooms of Dance like: Bye Bye Brazil, Opiniao、Antilla、Axe Brasil, Boca Boca, Gimnasio Entenza, Sambaé, etc)
Nowadays he’s given classes at Zich Vila Olímpica

Heloisa

Wonderful dancer and teacher of bellydance and brazilian dances. Her training consist of ballet (7 years), contemporary dance (3 years), bellydance speciality in elements: sabre, candelabra, veil and sagats for 10 years, and 10 more of brazilian dances like lambada, samba and forró. She learnt in different schools in Brazil as “Academia de Dança Mara Santos”, “Conservatorio Jardim América”, “Escola de Dança Luna Studio”. She had been working in several places in Brasil too, like Toa Toa and Barramares in Porto Seguro or in TV Programme Hebe. She won the Axé championship in “Sala de Danças Lambar” and “Sala de Shows Cabral” in 1999 and 2001 respectively. Lately her usual place of residence is Spain where she worked in different shows with the group Vida Brasil in Salou, and in the next dance schools: Artis in Tarragona, Sandra Rubí in Salou, Merche Rams in Mataró, Culture House in Montornés del Vallés, “Centro Cultural Lenguas del Mundo” and in TV programmes like ¡Mira quién Baila! (look who’s dancing!), and also the Belly Dance Festival “Las Hadas” with Deborah Korek in Zaragoza. Heloísa: World Dancer.
